I want to get my eyebrows waxed but i don't have a good pain tolerance? please help?

what do i do before?

i always chickern out of my appointments when the time comes :(I want to get my eyebrows waxed but i don't have a good pain tolerance? please help?
It's sometimes helpful to take an aspirin or tylenol about 1/2 hour-1 hour before your appointment.

Tell the therapist that it's your first time and you are worried about pain. She should use lots of pressure after removing the strip, and help talk you through it. Some waxing companys do offer a numbing gel or spray that can be put on before waxing to desenstize the area. When you call to make your appointment, check to see if they have anything like this.

I much prefer waxing to tweezing, as it's done so quickly, you barely have time to feel it.I want to get my eyebrows waxed but i don't have a good pain tolerance? please help?
oh it really doesn't hurt at all, especially if u only getting ur eye browns waxed and believe me i don't have a good tolerance to pain either, i still cry (like literally) before i get a shot...lol
I would do it yourself!!! wet a towel with warm water cover your eye brows with it, for a few minites, this will numb the pain, and pluck the hairs out, dont go over the top arch, or they will look odd.
Take some paracetamol 20 minutes before
Don't worry I was the same the first time I got my eyebrows waxed... but it doesn't hurt that bad. Trust me. The lady that was doing my eyebrows told me that if you have relatively clear skin, then it won't hurt. So don't worry and you'll be sooo happy with the results. Good luck :) you'll look great
Contrary to popular belief, getting your eyebrows waxed is far less painful then traditional plucking with tweezers, and it's better for the growth of your eyebrows too! A large majority of women don't know the proper procedure for plucking their eyebrows, thus resulting in overplucking or underplucking. Taking it upon yourself to tweeze can also result in an uneven brow or some women pluck their brows too short, too long, have too high of an arch, etc.

When you weigh out the pro's and con's you'll realize that waxing is definitely the way to go. Professionals at a salon (DON'T go to a chinese nail salon, they'll ruin your brows for life!) know what their doing because they've been trained and repeat the same procedure multiple times in a day. They know how to create illusions that will make your brow look fuller or thinner, longer or shorter...ect. Plus they know what brow shapes look good on you based on the shape of your face, the way you wear your makeup, your personal style and even your age too! There are lots of factors that go into shaping someone's brow that you would never even think of and that you couldn't possibly know for yourself.

As far as the pain goes, well I would say suck it up. It feels like a band aid being quickly removed from your skin, nothing else. Tweezing is much more painful from my personal experience. Your brows will probably be red and maybe slightly painful to the touch for a day or so, then it will go away and you will have the most beautiful brows you've ever seen!

Good luck, and also don't go tanning the day you get your brows waxed or sometimes, depending on your skin sensitivity even the day after too. Waxing removes a thin layer of dead skin that was on the surface of your brows before they were waxed. This skin is often very sensitive to sunlight and can burn easily, especially from tanning beds.
don't worry about the pain because it really doesn't hurt that much. If you really want them done then you will just go down there and get them done. Also it's a quick processes and it's well worth it. Your eyebrows will look great afterward!

good luck!
it is no problem ! REALLY.. it hurts for a second and then it's okay! it's way better then the other thing( don't remember what it's called , not english (a) )

but if the lady puts some cream afterwards then you should ask her about it ..

i once got so swollen (becouse i am allergic to that cream! ) that i couldn't open my eyes for a whole day ...

good luck and really , believe me .. it does not hurt that much .. just for a second :)
Putting ice on your eyebrow area for a couple minutes to numb it a little is supposed to make it less painful when you pluck your eyebrows. I'm assuming the same goes when you wax them, so it's worth a shot?

Sorry I'm not help. (=
Take 2 Ibuprofen half an hour before the appointment. Thats what they suggest for waxing.
when your getting them waxed go to a nice place and go to some people who actually speak English and tell them to put baby powder on them first take and advil before too if your that scared of the pain, and when they wax it and tear the strip off make sure they imediatly run there fingers through your eye brows because it makes the pain go away quickly, Its really not that bad at all and its quick.
Buy some ambisol from your local drug store. Apply that before you get your brows waxed. It will NOT take away all the pain--but it will take the edge off. Getting your brows waxed isn't that bad, your eyes may water a bit, but that's all.
It's not that sore. What about getting some baby teething gel and rubbing that on before to numb them a bit.
When I was younger, it was worse than pulling teeth with me!!

I just take five deep breaths and think of something else completely.

Close your eyes and when you're relaxed and unfazed by the ';pain,'; you wont feel a thing.

Trust me, you're taking to the girl who freaks out when dealing with pain to the nth degree.

If you don't care about the ';pain'; then it won't hurt as much as it would if you are concerned about it.
Oh please, bite the bullet, theres nothing looks worse than shaggy eyebrows. Anyway how many eyebrows do you have . Wait till you have a baby, now that`s pain!!!
i find waxing not as painful as plucking. Waxing is a fast pain while plucking is not.
